This week in games: Mythological Assassin’s Creed monsters, Prima Games plans its last strategy guide - mossdrempan
IDG / Hayden Dingman
Not more news this hebdomad. Perhaps it's the post-Flushed Dead slump, or the Wiley Post-election correct, or maybe the pre-holidays falloff. November's got quite a a few releases though, so there are a smattering of launch trailers beneath for Hitman 2 and Battlefield V, plus a release go out for Tannenberg, more monsters for Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, and an necrology for strategy guide printing machine Prima Games.
This is gaming news for November 5 to 9.
A longer odyssey
I already sunk 60-plus hours into Assassin's Credo: Odyssey so the prospect of active back for more is…daunting. If you're looking to extend your stay in Antediluvian Greece however, Ubisoft's adding a bunch of stuff to the courageous in November—new questlines, a fres unreal creature, more than items, and a level pileus bump. Sound out the video on a lower floor for more details. Oh, and IT's all free. That depart's important.
Sunset Over-inveterate
Sunset Overdrive's all-but-confirmed for a PC release at this point, but just in case you needed boost confirmation: Personal computer Gamer spotted this listing along SteamDB that quite clearly features Sunset Overdrive key art, despite none other inside information. That's interesting, as it indicates (like Quantum Break) that Sunset Overuse is plausibly considered a "third-company" halting away Microsoft despite organism an Xbox One exclusive finished to this point. Apparently Insomniac retained the rights to distribute on Steam instead of being locked to the Windows 10 Store.
Anyway, I'm in for we'll find out an administrative unit announcement soon.
Field "launch"
Battlefield V either releases happening Nov 20, on November 15, or it's already out, depending on who you need. The game went viable for topnotch early deluxe accession players (paraphrasing) this week, and then I approximate it makes sense Ea releases a found preview to turn along with it—even if the rest of you need to wait almost two more weeks to play.
Boat-human race 2
Gun for hire 2's also got many release date malarkey leaving on. It's "emotional" along November 13, but we've already reviewed information technology, and if you paid unneeded for the Au Edition you could be playing justly now. So uh, again, here's a set in motion trailer.
Armistice Day
Verdun sequel Tannenberg last nailed down a proper release go steady. The vivid World War I shooter's been in Early Access for about a year now, but will exit to a 1.0 release happening February 23. We'll have to see how the multiplayer population holds up, but as a Verdun fan I'm itch to give Battle of Tannenberg a go.
Long live GameFAQs
Growing up I loved perusing scheme guides. This was back in the pre- and early-internet days, when loaded-color books were the preferable way to find Pokemon strategies or Metroid secrets.
Of run over, in the internet era it's easier to type "Gun for hire 2 walkthrough" into Google and let a million sites and streamers work their thaumaturgy, so I'm saddened but non surprised to hear Prima Games, probably the largest and most prestigious strategy guide company, is shutting down in 2019. Best of luck to everyone touched, and I'll pour one out for every the hours I spent as a youth reading through those books, often before I'd even bought the crippled.
